Terms of Submission

If you would like to advertise your business in our directory you must abide by a certain degree of ethical and/or environmental standards to be considered.

Consumers are continually becoming more aware of companies that ignore health, safety and environmental concerns in their business activities. Ethical Directory offers a both consumers and business that adhere the ethical and environmental standards an opportunity to come together and help strengthen corporate social responsibility through the support of those business that are leading the way.

The following criteria are required to list your company or site in our directory. You must be committed to and state on your website or materials the following:

• Reducing your businesses impact on the environment
• Using non-exploitative practices in the areas of employee health, safety and pay equity and
• List an ethical and/or environmental statement on your website

OR

Be a retailer that sells fair trade goods, and/or goods produced from companies that practice the above.

OR

Be a Non-Profit or Charity organization that is working for improving the environment, human rights, CSR, workplace conditions or the lives of people or animals.

OR

If you already belong to a regulating body that has verified your membership and business practices to be in good standing. These would include organizations such as The Fair Trade Labeling Organization (FLO), the Ethical Company Organization, B Corp or Green America.

If any company that is listed has been found to have broken the above policy or used deceptive or unethical means to get listed, Ethical Directory will terminate the listing without warning and without compensation. Upon request, we will provide a note of our reasons.
